Starfield Speedrun

A Starfield player has managed to achieve an incredible speedrun by completing the main questline in Starfield’s NewGame+ in less than an hour. Now, they will try to hit a new mark on the next run. Brace yourselves for spoilers.

Starfield players are enjoying the first run of the game right now, but according to some players, New Game+ is where the real fun begins. Meanwhile, others are trying their best to complete the challenging New Game+ mode by speedrunning.

Now, a player named SupaScared has completed a Starfield New Game+ run in under an hour. They uploaded this incredible feat to YouTube, crossing the stars and beating the game in a little more than 50 minutes. There are spoilers ahead, so watch at your own discretion.

The speedrunner is attempting the Any% run, which can be achieved via the NewGame+ feature, because it allows you to skip the main quest, and also uses the Boost-Pack Training perk to travel long distances in less time.

As they explained: “I’m Skipping the majority on the main quest and doing the Among the Stars quest before finishing with Revelation and One Giant Leap.” The strategy is focused on avoiding combat as much as possible and going straight for the artifacts.

The only main issue for SupaScared seems to be the unavoidable cutscenes during landings and take-offs from planet surfaces. However, they’re positive that they can at least cut another 20 minutes on the next run. That would net him a speedrun mark of almost half an hour, which is quite impressive for a Bethesda-made game.

SupaScared is aiming for the stars and for the top of the Speedrun.com Starfield leaderboards, which are opening up on September 20 and will likely mark the start of a speedrun frenzy among fans of the game mode.
