For Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players, Tera Raid battles against Unrivaled or Mightiest Pokemon are the pinnacle of the end-game content. And some trainers like to flaunt their skills with complex tactics that end up in impressive OHKOs.
We’ve seen a few of them already, but none like this one. This tremendous power move against Empoleon the Unrivaled had a twist: it was executed by its child, Piplup.
This was shared by Reddit user ‘Oldpiplupfan72,’ and the community cannot believe this was even possible, and is split between shock and skepticism.
The OP shared the video in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet community and simply stated: “Piplup, I am your father. NOOOOOOO!!!” referencing the famous quote by Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back.
One of the members of the community said in awe: “I’ve seen it all now.” While, another one stated: “Technically, he defeats his future self.”
One of the shocked players had to ask: “Gahahahahaha why the fire Tera for the baby?” And another player answered: “Resists most of the moves Empoleon has and is super effective.”
But not every Pokemon trainer is convinced the video was original. A Pokemon fan stated: “This must be a lie, the video is edited.” To what another user answered: “Haters will say it’s fake.”
Though the OP offered several explanations and a detailed guide to its strategy, many other detractors still said that it was as “spoofed” or “cheat Raid.”
These Raids have been more and more common lately since the application of the latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet patch wasn’t enough to deter cheaters from causing trouble.
