Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle schedule: Iron Moth, Slither Wing & more event dates

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players had many new features to explore, including Tera Types and the Terastal Phenomenon. This mechanic added a new dynamic to Pokemon gameplay, especially in competitive online battling.
There’s no doubt that Pokemon with unique Tera Types are incredibly sought-after. Following the introduction of the Kitakami Pokedex, players can participate in even more Tera Raid Battle events to catch rare and strong Pokemon.
Let’s get into the Tera Raid Battle schedule in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and how to take part in the Slither Wing & Iron Moth Tera Raid Battle event.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Slither Wing & Iron Moth Tera Raid Battle event dates
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will host a special event that will feature 5-Star Tera Raid Battles against Iron Moth and Slither Wing from September 22 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (September 23) to September 24 at 4:59 PM PT / 7:59 PM ET / 12:59 AM BST (September 25).
The 5-Star Tera Raid Battle event featuring the Paradox forms of Volcarona will allow players to catch one per save file. In Violet, Iron Moth will have the Quark Drive ability, and in Scarlet Slither Wing will boast the Protosynthesis ability. Both Pokemon will have a random Tera Type and Nature.

What are Tera Raid Battles in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
Tera Raid Battles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will allow players to join a team of four trainers to defeat a strong Tera Pokemon. These battles will highlight Pokemon with rare Tera Type combinations.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet blog explains that “the Tera Raid crystals related to these events may look ordinary at first glance, but they are shrouded in a mysterious aura.”

There are two types of Tera Raid Battles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Standard Tera Raid Battles will appear as ordinary crystals as you approach the location in-game. Meanwhile, Black Tera Raid crystals indicate that the Pokemon is incredibly powerful. It could have unique moves and Abilities, which means better rewards are up for grabs.
Keep in mind that you can only catch one Black Crystal Tera Raid Pokemon per event. In addition, only players who have completed the three main story paths and The Way Home bonus quest will be able to access the Black Crystal Tera Raids.
