Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: How to beat Blueberry Academy Secret Boss

Secret Boss battles have been a rare find in the last entries of the Pokemon franchise, but the Scarlet and Violet DLC has one, and here’s how to unlock it and beat it.

Finishing every activity in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC can take many hours, as the new expansion brings a lot of content to the game. From new creatures to catch to many side quests to finish, The Indigo Disk has much to offer.

Some secrets can be found post-game in all the new content, including new Paradox Pokemon to catch, some extra battles with past trainers, and a Secret Boss battle. With the legendary trainer Red being the most well-known secret boss fight in the franchise, let’s see if The Indigo Disk battle can fill its shoes.

Here’s how to unlock and beat the Secret Boss battle in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC.

How to unlock the Secret Boss battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC

To unlock the Secret Boss battle in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, players must finish the main story and invite 10 trainers from Paldea to battle at the Blueberry Academy. This will let you take the final BB Quest to battle Director Cyrano at the BB Academy Entrance.

Once everything’s over in the deepest part of Area Zero, players will officially finish The Indigo Disk DLC and all the post-game content will be unlocked. When the credits end, you will wake up in your room and receive a call to the League Club Room stating that you can now invite special trainers from Paldea.

These invitations include the Gym leaders and Elite Four from the base game, so to follow up with unlocking the Secret Boss fight, you must first complete these steps:

1. Finish The Indigo Disk DLC main story.
2. Go to the League Club Room and invite 10 trainers to the Academy using the room’s computer.
3. You will need a total of 6000 BP to invite all 10 trainers three times, and their visits include battles and Pokemon trades.
4. You must talk to each one every time you invite them to trigger special dialogues on their next visit.
5. When all is done, the last BBQ will be unlocked and you will be able to accept it on the computer.
6. Donate 10 BP to accept the Secret Boss quest and talk to Cyrano at the BB Academy Entrance.
7. Beat his team to finish the side quest.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC: How to beat the Secret Boss

To beat the Secret Boss Director Cyrano in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, players must prepare their best teams and go after the enemy Pokemon weaknesses.

Cyrano uses the following Pokemon in battle:

• Zebstrika lvl 86
• Manibuzz lvl 86
• Gothitelle lvl 86
• Samurott lvl 87
• Emboar lvl 87
• Serperior lvl 87 – Rock Tera Type

The best strategy against Cyrano’s team is an all-round team that covers as many types as possible. He has the three Unovan starter final evolutions with him, so a counter to each initial type is recommended, as well as some powerful Legendary Pokemon.

BB Elite Four Champion Kieran wasn’t the only hard battle The Indigo Disk DLC was hiding, and Director Cyrano is a worthy opponent. This battle can be hard, but once you beat him you will be able to trade Pokemon with Cyrano as you did with the invited trainers from Paldea.
