The Sinnoh starters are everywhere in Pokemon Go but players are frustrated with their spawns as they are tough to capture, resulting in the loss of several Poke Balls and Berries.

As the Road to Sinnoh chugs on in Pokemon Go, players are capturing various Gen 4 Pokemon from the wild, Raids, and Research. While Legendaries are the priority, other species are also key to completing quests such as the Masterwork Research for shiny Shaymin.

That said, there are three iconic Sinnoh Pokemon that seem to be getting on the nerves of trainers, the region’s starters: Piplup, Turtwig, and Chimchar.

When a Reddit user named ‘conhound’ wrote: “These Sinnoh starters are a menace” in a post where they complained that they’re losing Poke Balls and Razz Berries in their attempt to catch even one of the Sinnoh starters, fellow players couldn’t agree more.

A user commented: “These Turtwig, Piplup & Chimchar are so annoying. Despite feeding berries & great throws with Ultra Ball they get out in a sec,” while another added that they run out of Poke Balls despite their best efforts.

The difficulty of catching them was confirmed by a level 40 player. “I reached level 40 yesterday and decided to do the ‘catch 200 Pokemon in 1 day’ task and it was so difficult with the starters, I ended up just going for Pokemon I knew were easy to catch.

While all three starters are tough to catch in Pokemon Go, there seems to be a particular one that fans dislike. “The Turtwigs and Piplup things aren’t too bad after u catch a few. The monkey things tho…. I hate them,” referring to Chimchar.

To this, a trainer mentioned they have wasted more Razz Berries on Chimchar than even the Legendary Moltres. But, a person had a quick tip to share regarding the ridiculously low catch rate of the starters.

“This is supposed to be an event to restock on Poke Balls before the Go Tour, not to waste them on useless things,” they suggested.
