With a new Masterwork Research for Sinnoh’s Mythical Shaymin dropping in Pokemon Go, players are not too high on the grueling tasks required to catch the guaranteed shiny Shaymin.

Masterwork Research quests are perhaps the biggest challenge for any Pokemon Go player, as they end up grinding months together for a guaranteed capture of a shiny Mythical Pokemon.

The Go Tour 2024: Sinnoh event is on the horizon, so you can purchase a ticket and take on the grueling tasks that will ultimately reward you with a shiny Shaymin. But it looks like most players are not fans of the tasks and rewards of the challenge.

After a Reddit user named ‘DaydreamingDahlia’ shared a screengrab of the shiny Shaymin Masterwork Research and joked that they regretted buying the quest, fellow trainers chimed in with their views.

Players weren’t too enthusiastic about the long-term quest, elaborating that catching around 2000 Pokemon in the first stage itself was “brutal,” alongside the “lousiest rewards/effort ratio.”

While some felt that it was worth it considering that the reward is a shiny Shaymin, others pointed out why that wasn’t a good enough reason for them.

“Niantic has made [Mythicals] so useless that the hype surrounding them has died. You can’t even trade them, which is even more stupid,” they said, while another stated that the Shaymin would end up having low IVs, as getting a Mythical with good stats is uncommon in Pokemon Go.

This prompted a trainer to mention: “I just don’t think this is worth doing for any Pokemon that has no practical use for the average player.”

You should note that you have until February 25, 2024, to purchase the Masterwork Research and once you do, there is no time limit on completing the tasks.
