Pokemon Go players shocked by kid’s incredible shiny-only Lure Module haul
NianticA Pokemon Go player’s son has achieved the impossible by encountering only shinies from all five Lure Module spawns and fans are in disbelief!
Finding shinies in Pokemon Go is never an easy task as these Pokemon are super rare, making them arguably the most prized catches for trainers.
When shiny hunting, trainers can check regular wild spawns in their location, and even use items like Incense and Lure Modules on PokeStops to trigger extra spawns around them for 30 minutes.
So when a player’s young kid used a Lure Module to grab some event Pokemon during the Lunar New Year 2024 event, what happened next is unheard of in the community.
A Reddit user named ‘dmglakewood’ wrote: “My 7-year-old son’s shiny haul from a single 30-minute lure yesterday is insane” in a post as they shared a screengrab of their son’s shinies caught from all five Lure Module spawns.
The OP added more details in the comments section. “We have a PokeStop that we can reach from our house. Before we headed out for the spotlight hour I let him place a lure on the stop,” they wrote before adding: “It seemed like every Pokemon he tapped on was shiny.”
Pokemon Go players lauded the lucky kid’s incredible shiny haul as getting every Lure Module encounter is unbelievable to many. Users commented: “That’s wild, sadly he’s too young for lottery!” and “Buy that kid a lotto ticket.”
A player wrote: “That’s insane. I’m level 47 with 97k catches and I literally have none of these,” to which another replied: “I’m level 45 (65k catches) and I’m in the same boat, except for Lechonk. What’s even more insane is that he’s only seen 32 Skrelp, two of which were shiny (back to back even).”
The shiny versions of Skrelp, Lechonk, and Paras are extremely rare and highly coveted by Pokemon Go fans, so they were particularly impressed with the captures, calling the kid a “legend.”
If this wasn’t amazing already, the OP also mentioned that their son was eagerly looking for a shiny Magikarp and while he couldn’t find it, the OP did and commented: “I’m going to trade it to his account. He’s going to be so happy wherever he plays again and sees his shiny fish.” Others called this “wholesome.”
