Pokemon Go players will finally get the chance to hit the much-awaited “Ready” button during Raid Battles as Niantic reveals when the feature will go live in the game.

Since the beginning of Pokemon Go Raid Battles in 2017, players have been asking for the “Ready” button to be included in the lobby. Most players join a Raid within 20 to 30 seconds and they usually have to wait for at least 90 to 80 seconds to start battling the Raid Boss Pokemon, often leaving them frustrated.

But much to the delight of fans worldwide, Niantic started to test the “Ready” button feature at the beginning of 2023, and now, the feature is finally ready to be rolled out globally.

Pokemon Go players can finally use the “Ready” button in Raids

In an official blog post shared by Niantic that highlighted the final details for Go Fest 2023, it was revealed that the “Ready” button for Raid Battles will be rolling out to players all around the world, starting from the Go Fest event on August 26, 2023.

The post said: “Trainers around the world can now start Raid Battles more quickly by using the Ready button! Just tap the button in the raid lobby when you’re ready to start. When all Trainers have indicated that they’re ready, the lobby timer will count down from 10 seconds.”

The “Ready” button will help players participate in more Raids per day.

However, it looks like the feature will only be available for multi-person Raids. Players who want to solo a one or three-star Raid will have to wait in the lobby for the normal waiting period of 110 seconds. So you will have to add at least one more player in the lobby to access the “Ready” button and bring the timer down to 10 seconds.

You should also note that the timer will automatically set to 10 seconds in Legendary or Mega Raid Battles where the lobby usually reaches the full capacity of 20 players. This is a welcome quality-of-life update that players have been anticipating for nearly five years now.

In addition to this new feature, Pokemon Go also unveiled more information about Go Fest Global 2023 including the Ultra Unlock challenges and the timeframes for the different event habitats.
