Overwatch 2 released the Halloween Terror 2023 event, along with a bundle that features Diablo 4 crossover skins. Despite fans’ initial excitement, they were disheartened by the unexpected high price. Here’s what the Overwatch 2 community had to say about the Diablo bundles.

Overwatch 2 Season 7 got off to a decent start thanks to the release of the long-awaited Sombra Rework and the surprise introduction of the Group Respawn feature. Players were also excited about the Halloween Terror event 2023, especially after Blizzard confirmed the Diablo 4 crossover.

However, the price of the premium bundles that feature Inarius and Lilith skins had players stunned and in disbelief at its high price. Overwatch 2 players expressed their shock in a couple of posts on Reddit, where they were quick to point out how not even premium currency can help pay for the custom skins.

“I had premium currency saved up for this and the Battle Pass. I’m floored the only way to get it is to pay $40,” said Reddit user Mothman405. “This is how much Overwatch cost at release. What a joke,” Redditor Pakyul chimed in.

Overwatch 2 players furious they can’t use Gold Coins for Diablo 4 skins

Overwatch 2 fans also noted that some were saving Gold Coins to purchase the Premium Battle Pass only to find out that they couldn’t use them for the latest bundle. “I just realized you can’t even get it with the Gold Coins that you previously paid for,” confirmed Reddit user oAcadia7662.

Players explained that the Ultimate Bundle costs nearly as much as Diablo 4. “You can only get those 3 skins, Moira, Bastion, and Pharah, by paying more than half what Diablo 4 costs as a whole a*s game,” Reddit user MommysLilMistek noted.

While other Overwatch 2 players confirmed that the Gold Coins they’ve purchased were useless to get the Halloween Terror Premium bundle, others recommended cutting their losses and either buying Diablo 4 or Diablo 2 Resurrected instead. “I’d rather skip this pack and buy Diablo 4 when it hits Steam in a few days,” said Redditor nyxuki.

Players also explained that they weren’t as shocked at the price of the previous Season Ultimate Bundle because it included the Invasion PvE missions, but noted that the latest bundle doesn’t have this kind of content.

Blizzard haven’t issued an official statement regarding the price of their latest Overwatch 2 bundles, so we’ll keep you posted on more about this issue.
