Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order bonuses: How to get Shang Tsung, beta & early access

A new Mortal Kombat game is coming in 2023 and pre-orders will go live very soon, so here’s a rundown of every edition and pre-order bonus you can get.

NetherRealm Studios finally announced Mortal Kombat 1 and fans are thrilled to know it’s coming in september. Alongside the first official trailer, the developers also shared details on the different Mortal Kombat 1 editions players will be able to enjoy.

While fans wait for a gameplay reveal, let’s take a look at all the Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order bonuses and editions.

Mortal Kombat 1 editions & prices

Mortal Kombat 1 will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19, 2023, with three different editions.

While some editions have more content than others, the pre-order bonuses that players will receive are the same, no matter what edition they buy.

Mortal Kombat 1 Standard Edition

The Mortal Kombat 1 Standard Edition costs $69.99 in both physical and digital form. It only includes the base game, but players who pre-order it will receive exclusive bonuses.

Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition

The Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 can be purchased physically and digitally for $109.99. It includes the base game, just like the Standard Edition, along with the following contents:

• Kombat Pack
• Early access to the game beginning September 14
• 1,250 Dragon Krystals (in-game currency)

The Kombat Pack gives players early access to six new playable DLC characters that will be available sometime after lauch. It also includes a Johnny Cage skin inspired by actor Jean-Claude Van Damme and access to five new Kameo Fighters that will also be available after launch.

Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector’s Edition content & price

The Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector’s Edition will only be available to purchase physically for $249.99. It will include all the Premium Edition content, including early access to the game. On top of that, here are the Kollector’s Edition exclusive contents:

• A 16.5-inch Liu Kang sculpture designed by COARSE
• Three exclusive art prints
• A steel case
• 1,450 additional Dragon Krystals

Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order bonuses

Players who pre-order Mortal Kombat 1 will get Shang Tsung as the main pre-order bonus, regardless of the platform. It is yet unknown if players will be able to get Shang Tsung any other way after launch.

Additionally, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players that pre-order the game will also receive access to the Mortal Kombat 1 Beta, which will be available sometime in August 2023.
