How to taunt in Mortal Kombat 1

Every fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 can taunt, and to do so, all you need to do is press the down button four times on your controller or keyboard whether you’re playing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to taunt in MK1:

  1. Load into a match of Mortal Kombat 1.
  2. During the fight, when you get the opportunity, press the down button four times in quick succession (D-Pad on controller and down key on PC).
  3. Your fighter should then perform a taunt.

Make sure you press the down button four times in quick succession, otherwise, you will not perform a taunt. Once you start a taunt you can’t break the animation, so be smart about when you use it, as you just might get caught out!
