Mortal Kombat 1 is a soft reboot of the iconic franchise and came out four years after the last entry in the series. Even so, it has stuck with many of the features that fans know and love, meaning its roster of classic fighters and many memorable fatalities is right there in the game for players to use.

This has led many players to wonder if Mortal Kombat 1 allows them to fight against players on other platforms and share progress between consoles. So, here’s everything we know about crossplay and cross-progression in Mortal Kombat 1.

Does Mortal Kombat 1 have crossplay?

Mortal Kombat 1 doesn’t have crossplay yet, but NetherRealm have confirmed the feature will be included in the next patch, which is expected to arrive on February 29. This feature will be available only on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games).

On the other hand, Nintendo Switch players didn’t have access to crossplay last time around, and they won’t be receiving it in Mortal Kombat 1 either.
