Sindel Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 comes with its own twist on Fatalities, a fight move that is unique to the Mortal Kombat franchise. Here is every Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1, how to unlock them, and every input you need to use for executing them during battles.

Mortal Kombat has become quite a hefty franchise over the last several years and remains famous for its gameplay mechanics and gory combos. While Mortal Kombat 1 is a reboot of the iconic fighting game, it does give players the ability to perform Fatalities, which is a feature that essentially defines the legendary series.

A Fatality is a classic Mortal Kombat move, which involves the winner of the match inflicting a gruesome combo that finishes their opponent off. Every iconic character of the series has a couple of Fatalities in their pocket, along with some other ruthless takedowns.

Here are all the Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1 and how to input them.

How to do Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1

In Mortal Kombat 1, Fatalities are performed by inputting a combination of buttons when you’re about to defeat an opponent. When your opponent’s health bar is fully drained at the end of a match, the announcer will shout the iconic lines “Finish Him” or “Finish Her,” signaling they are open for a final blow.

Each fighter has a number of unique Fatalities available, with a specific sequence of buttons that must be hit in order and from the right distance.

Mortal Kombat 1 character performing Fatality
Every Mortal Kombat 1 fighter has their own Fatalities.

We’ve included a step-by-step guide on how to perform a Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1 below:

  1. Hop into a match of Mortal Kombat 1.
  2. In the final round, whittle down your opponent’s health bar.
  3. Wait for the announcer to say “Finish Him” or “Finish Her.”
  4. Input the commands for the Fatality you want to perform.
  5. Watch as you finish your opponent in style.

If you haven’t memorized the command for each Fatality, and you’re playing offline, you can pause the game and head to the Move List tab to see exactly what you need to do. However, this won’t work in online fights.

How to unlock Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 players need to increase the Mastery level with every character to unlock their second Fatality. All characters have one unlocked Fatality from the start, and players can see it in the Move List section of the pause menu. However, to unlock each character’s second Fatality, players need to “level up” each character by playing Towers, the new Invasions mode, and more.

Each character has a Mastery level players can raise by playing certain game modes. Performing Fatalities, Brutalities, and other special finishing moves will give you more experience points, so keep that in mind when playing those modes. You’ll have to do this with every character, and each character will unlock their second Fatality at a different level, so you just need to grind.

It’s important to note that if you already know the input of the Fatality you’re trying to do, you won’t need to unlock it to trigger it. So, keep reading if you’re interested in knowing all available Fatalities in MK1.
