Modern Warfare 2 devs confirm fan-favorite party mode to debut in Season 2
Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 is right around the corner and the Call of Duty team revealed that Infected is slated to arrive with the update.
February 15 is slated to be a monumental day for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players, as the Season 2 update gets set to deliver a ton of new content.
Modern Warfare 2 players will receive Ranked Play and a dedicated Hardcore playlist, but they still couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed by the announced content compared to the slate of new features heading to Warzone 2 in Season 2.
Although, it seems like that could change before the Season 2 update arrives.
Infected coming to Modern Warfare Season 2
Luckily, it seems like the Call of Duty team have some surprises in store, as they announced that Infected will make its way to Modern Warfare 2 alongside the Season 2 update.
Previously, the devs revealed a ton of information clarifying what the update will bring, but it hasn’t satisfied players who believe the update won’t change the poor state of Modern Warfare 2.
One of the biggest complaints from Modern Warfare 2 players has been the lack of modes in the game. Prior to the update players have been particularly vocal about the absence of Gunfight, Gun Game, and Infected.
It seems that the devs have not taken the community response lightly, as they confirmed that Infected will arrive on February 15.
The news has been met with a chorus of Ws from players in the replies. As one player put it, the wait is finally over: “Finally I’ve been waiting for infected since launch.”
While the reception to Infected in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 has been generally positive, it didn’t stop some players from reminding the devs that they’d love to see more party modes make their way to the game: “We want gun game too man.”
We’ll have to wait and see if other game modes will arrive in Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2, but it’s clear that players are desperate for more variety.
