Modern Warfare 2 players are desperate for a fan-favorite mode to return as the game approaches its Season 2 update.

Modern Warfare 2 has an abundance of game modes to enjoy, from classics like Domination and Team Deathmatch to new additions such as Knockout and Bounty which was added in the Season 1 Reloaded update.

Players also have the option to play Tier 1, which is similar to the Hardcore playlist from previous titles which is set to return.

Despite all of these choices, Modern Warfare 2 players are desperate for a fan-favorite party mode, and it’s not Gun Game, which is also rumored to arrive soon.

Reddit user accb1332 put a post in the MW2 subreddit that said they are “absolutely dying for Infected,” as well as asking if any others “desperately want it back.”

Infected is a classic Call of Duty multiplayer party game mode in which players must avoid the infected by eliminating or just staying away from them. The non-infected players who withstand the infected after the time limit ends will win the game, but if all are turned then the infected team wins.

This mode tends to make a return to Call of Duty multiplayer in every new release, and clearly, players want to see it in Modern Warfare 2, as comments under the Reddit post express a similar opinion to the OP.

One player said, “absolutely. Favorite game mode,” while another said, “It was added in season 2 of MW19 so here’s hoping.” There’s currently no talk of Infected coming to Modern Warfare 2 in Season 2, but it’s definitely not inconceivable.

We’ll have to wait for official information to be sure, but clearly, there’s a demand for the party mode.
