Armor Trims have been adored ever since their arrival in Minecraft in a long time. If you want to customize your armor, here’s how to use armor trims in Minecraft.

Armor Trims came to Minecraft with the 1.20 Trails and Tales update, serving as a way to customize armor sets like never before. Players can get several unique designs from these items, which they can show off during their journey in the Overworld, Nether, or End dimensions.

As with many things introduced with the 1.20 update, players might struggle to find these items around the Minecraft world. Here’s everything you need to know about armor trims in Minecraft, including their locations, how to use them, and more.

How to customize your armor in Minecraft

You’ll need to find an ore and an armor trim in order to customize a piece of armor in Minecraft. You can determine the color of your armor piece on the basis of the ore you’ve chosen to use for the process. As for the ore, you can choose any one of the ten ores in Minecraft, all of them being:

  • Amethyst
  • Copper
  • Diamond
  • Emerald
  • Gold
  • Iron
  • Lapis Lazuli
  • Netherite
  • Quartz
  • Redstone

You’ll need a Smithing Table to fuse the armor trim and ore with the armor piece, so once you have that, you’ll be able to get your armor customized.
