Who is Firefly in Honkai Star Rail?
HoYoverse finally confirmed Firefly as part of the Stellaron Hunters in Honkai Star Rail. They also revealed she’s the one piloting the mechanical armor known as SAM, which many thought would be a separate character.
Firefly’s official description states “she’s afflicted with the agony of Entropy Loss Syndrome due to genetic modification” and “she joined the Stellaron Hunters in search of the meaning of life, relentlessly pursuing ways to defy fate.”
Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf are also part of the Stellaron Hunters commanded by Elio, but it remains to be seen if they’ll return to Honkai Star Rail‘s main storyline soon.
Is there a Firefly release date in Honkai Star Rail?
No, HoYoverse haven’t confirmed Firefly’s release date in Honkai Star Rail yet, but players expect her to debut with update 2.3, which will bring an epilogue to Penacony’s storyline.

Firefly leaked abilities in Honkai Star Rail
Firefly is a Fire element character in the Path of The Destruction in Honkai Star Rail. This means she’ll deal massive Fire DMG to single-enemy targets and AoE.
Additionally, here are all of Firefly’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail, according to leaks:
- Skill – Consumes Max HP to deal Fire damage to a specific enemy. If HP is insufficient, HP will be reduced to 1.
- Enhanced Skill – Deals Fire DMG to an enemy and less damage to adjacent enemies. Deals additional Fire damage to enemies weak to Fire. Also restores Firefly’s HP and Advances their action Forward.
- Ultimate – Enters ‘Red Temperature’ state, enhances Skill, increases ATK and SPD. Also, the damage reduction of their Talent is always at maximum value, but Firefly cannot recover Energy while with ‘Red Temperature’.
- Talent – Gains 1 Energy for every 1% of HP lost. Takes less damage at lower health, up to 40% reduction.
- Technique – Restores Health and increases Max HP for the next battle.
Firefly sounds like an extremely powerful character, although some of her details have probably changed during development. While leaks are reliable, HoYoverse might still apply changes to the characters before they officially arrive in the game, so keep that in mind.
