Helldivers 2 leaks: Mechs, AI squad, new factions, guns, more

Helldivers 2 features a lot of content, from an abundance of items to unlock through Warbonds, as well as new Stratagems and Ship Modules to improve your efficiency in the battle against both Automatons and Terminids.
That said, players want more, and it seems like the devs will be delivering just that. Leaks and rumors have been floating around regarding new content coming to the game, some of which include a new Mech Stratagem, as well as the potential arrival of a new faction.
For those interested, here are all of the leaks we know of so far for Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 leaks
Thanks to leaks, we could potentially be seeing a load of new content in Helldivers 2, so here’s a complete breakdown of all the datamined information.
HellDiver Mech
Arguably the most exciting Helldivers 2 leak is the HellDiver Mech, which, if the leaks are true, will see a player-controlled exo-suit enter the game. This will drop into the map similarly to a Hell Pod and players will be able to climb into the back of it and start raining down hell.
We don’t yet know the details of this new Mech Stratagem in Helldivers 2, such as how long it will last and how much or what level you need to be to unlock it, however, the leaker did decide to reveal some gameplay that you can check out below.
In the leaks, there are two separate Mech Stratagems – Patriot Exosuit and Liberator Exosuit. However, bear in mind that these are just leaks, and nothing is confirmed, so take it all with a pinch of salt for now and we’ll be sure to update you.
AI Super Earth Soldiers
Some leaks suggest a new Stratagem that sees a squad of AI Super Earth Soldiers drop down and help you take out targets could be coming to Helldivers 2 as well.
Not many details have been revealed, but as the wording “super earth soldier” was found under the Stratagem’s section in the game’s code, it’s safe to say it will be a Stratagem that players will call in. This is further backed up by the fact that, in the code, the players are referred to as Helldivers, not Super Earth soldiers.
Vehicle
Helldivers 2 leaks also point to the game getting some sort of “car/buggy” that players will be able to drive to better traverse the game’s planetary maps.
This could make completing objectives much quicker, but much like the other leaks, we do not yet have enough information to determine how effective they will be, or even if multiple players will be able to hop in them.
New faction
After an in-game hint, players were convinced that the Illuminates from the original Helldivers would be coming to the sequel in a future update. Now, leaks suggest that’s exactly what’s happening.
We don’t know if things will change, or even when this new supposed faction will arrive in the game, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
New missions, guns & more
Helldivers 2 leaks also point towards exciting new content such as fresh missions, Stratagems, enemy types, and even new guns. The new enemy types are said to be associated with “flying,” while the new guns are reportedly “laser based.”
