GTA 6 fans are speculating that one of Red Dead Redemption 2’s immersive features could be making a return.

GTA 6 may have only one trailer out so far, but Rockstar‘s dedicated fanbase have analyzed the video to absolute shreds, identifying every nook and cranny of each scene.

From noticing an interesting map limitation easter egg to clocking all the vehicles presented in the trailer, players have been very eagle-eyed, leading to some speculation.

Now, players are looking at Rockstar’s most recent AAA creation, Red Dead Redemption 2, and are discussing whether or not we will see any features from RDR2 carry over to GTA 6.

Red Dead Redemption 2 featured some of the most innovative and immersive features Rockstar fans have seen to date, so it’s only right for them to wonder if they will carry over to GTA 6, albeit new and improved.

The RDR2 feature players are suggesting could make a return is the “Witness System,” which allows you to stop witnesses of your crime and either threaten or beat them in order to dissuade them from reporting you to the authorities.

While nothing has been confirmed, many on Reddit feel that this witness feature from RDR2 will return in some form for GTA 6, as pointed out by leaks: “In leaks it’s shown that people will record you with their phone doing crime. So yes I’m assuming the witness system will be in GTA 6.”

Some claim that GTA 6 will feature an evolved version of the classic wanted system, with elements of RDR2’s witness feature that’s more realistic and immersive.

In response to a player that said they’d like to see police alerts “actually take time to filter through,” one user pointed out that leaks have “definitive proof” of a “Witness system with player and vehicle description, and time until police shows up. An evolved version of RDR2’s system basically.”

This is all just leaks and speculation, so take it with a pinch of salt, but players would like to see the RDR2 feature return, as one player called the witness system “awesome.”

We’ll have to wait and see just how accurate the leaks and speculations are once Rockstar provides more information on GTA 6’s wanted system. For now, check out why GTA 6 may not be able to live up to the hype.
