Gray Zone Warfare Last Farewell & Left Behind questline guide: Which task to pick?

Gunny and Handshake in Gray Zone Warfare grant you the Last Farewell and Left Behind tasks and you can only complete one of them. Here’s which task to pick between Last Farewell and Left Behind and how to complete both the questlines.

Tasks are essential for progress in Gray Zone Warfare, and early on in the game, you get the option to do either Last Farewell for Gunny or Left Behind for Handshake. For completing any of these quests, you get a unique set of rewards including reputation with the respective vendor, making the choice a bit tricky.

Last Farewell vs Left Behind: Which task to pick in Gray Zone Warfare?

You should pick Left Behind for Handshake in Gray Zone Warfare. This is because both quests grant 3,400 USD, 400 EXP, and 100 vendor reputation. Additionally though, Left Behind rewards you with two armor pieces, while the M4A1 is the reward for completing Last Farewell.

The M4A1 is a common weapon, so it’s better to stack up on the armor instead. Having said that, increasing your reputation with Gunny isn’t a bad option either as it will let you unlock a wide range of attachments and other exciting weapon deals eventually.

In fact, the second tasks in the questlines, Left Behind 2 and Last Farewell 2, can be completed regardless of the choice you make at this point.

How to complete Left Behind and Last Farewell in Gray Zone Warfare for all factions

To complete Left Behind in Gray Zone Warfare, you just need to identify the body for Handshake and not place a tracker on it.

To complete Last Farewell in Gray Zone Warfare, you need to a place a GPS tracker on the body and mark it so crew members can pick it up for the last rites.

The exact coordinates on which you’ll find the body to mark or identify are different based on the faction:

• Crimson Shield International – 147, 162
• Mithras Security Systems – 167, 122
• Lamang Recovery Initiative – 204, 156

Although the coordinates are different, the maps are identical and just flipped. As a result, regardless of faction, you’ll be visiting a small village near the Bravo 3 LZ with a couple of houses and a tractor. The body you need to mark/identify is in front of a shed.

Another thing to note is that the small village is populated with enemies and it’s best to interact with the body after clearing out everyone. So, it’s best to bring enough weapons and ammo for this encounter.

How to get GPS tracker to complete Last Farewell

If you choose to do Last Farewell for Gunny in Gray Zone Warfare, you’ll need a GPS tracker. Either grab the GPS tracker from Gunny at the start of the task through the Messages tab on the left or purchase it from the vendor by clicking on Trades. Gunny sells GPS trackers for $50.

How to complete Left Behind 2 and Last Farewell 2 in Gray Zone Warfare for all factions

You can find the body to complete Left Behind 2 and Last Farewell 2 in Gray Zone Warfare on 168 168 coordinates.

Missing body location to complete Left Behind 2 and Last Farewell 2

The exact location of the missing body has also been marked in the image below:

If the coordinates are different for your faction, focus on going near the big farm with several lakes near the Foxtrot 1 LZ and look for a flag on the ground. The body is right beside the flag, but beware of the guards and it’s best to take them out before interacting.

Like the first time, you don’t have to choose one task and can enjoy all the rewards from both Gunny and Handshake.

Completing Left Behind gives you these rewards:

Completing Left Behind 2 gives you these rewards:

• 2x TC-2002 Helmets
• 4,600 USD in-game
• 2000 Experience
• 200 Handshake reputation

Completing Last Farewell gives you these rewards:

• 400 Experience
• 100 Handshake reputation
• 2x VIP Armor
• M4A1 with full attachments

Completing Last Farewell 2 gives you these rewards:

• RCP Armor
• 4,600 USD in-game
• 2000 Experience
• 200 Handshake reputation

To get these rewards, you simply need to open the Vendors menu and select Handshake or Gunny to claim your rewards.
