HoYoverseXbalanque has been officially confirmed as a character in Genshin Impact, though they’ve yet to make an appearance. We do have a handful of leaks, and here is all that the rumor suggests about Xbalanque in Genshin Impact.
In Neuvillette‘s drip marketing, our monsieur was introduced by Xbalanque, saying, “Someday, when they return, their true ordeal shall begin.” Xbalanque was then referred to as One Entombed With the Primal Fire, and so far that’s the only time Genshin Impact has acknowledged the unit.

Who is Xbalanque in Genshin Impact?
Xbalanque is a leaked upcoming playable character, said to be based in the next major region of Genshin Impact, Natlan. That’s the only information we have on the character’s identity.
It was heavily speculated that Xbalanque is a Pyro Sovereign, like Neuvillette, but it was shot down by multiple leaks.

Given that Xbalanque is said to be a character from Natlan, it is likely that they’ll be playable anytime after version 5.0 of Genshin Impact.
If we go by the usual schedule of versions, it means somewhere around late August 2024, so that’s the earliest possible time Xbalanque will be playable.
Genshin Impact Xbalanque leaked design and element
Xbalanque in Genshin Impact is leaked to be short-haired and will have a boy model, similar to Bennett.
As for the Element, Xbalanque is leaked to wield a Pyro vision. This isn’t particularly surprising since the character appears to be important to Natlan, which is the nation of Pyro. Also, since they were officially referred to as One Entombed With the Primal Fire, Xbalanque is highly likely to be Pyro.
