The fifth major region in Genshin Impact, Fontaine, is already live. HoYoverse has shared details on two characters you’ll likely cross paths with, including one very mysterious figure. Here’s all we know about Neuvillette and Wriothesley.

HoYoverse have drip-marketed two new characters that are set to join an already long list of over 60 existing characters. As Genshin Impact momentarily bids farewell to Sumeru, both Neuvillette and Wriothesley are from the game’s next major region, Fontaine, a steampunk rendition of France.

Described as a hub of technology, everyone in Fontaine is bound by stringent laws. Even the nation’s Archon is at the behest of the law, as justice reigns supreme in the region of Hydro. It is all the more relevant as one of the two reveals is essentially the gatekeeper of the very justice that is so important in Fontaine.

So, here are all the details about Neuvillette and Wriothesley as shared by HoYoverse in their recent tweet.

Genshin Impact shares details about Neuvillette and Wriothesley

Neuvillette

Nuvillette is said to be the only male character from the Melusines race.
  • Title: Ordainer of Inexorable Judgment
  • Hydro (Vision Unknown)
  • Constellation: Unknown

First on the list, is the Chief Justice of the Court of Fontaine. Given his stature and the significance of “justice” as a theme in Fontaine, Neuvillette is, naturally, going to be more prominent throughout the region’s main narrative. In fact, he has been teased to be kindred with deities that are even bigger than the Archons themselves.

All the information we have now does hint towards it, as despite being affiliated with Hydro element, he does not wield any Vision. Nor does the official description revealed from HoYoverse details on the Constellation, which has question marks in place. The running theory among the community is that he is one of the Seven Sovereigns, who once ruled the lands of Teyvat at the beginning of times, even before the Archons and Celestia.

As for his kit, we do not have any official confirmation. Leaks suggested him as a Catalyst user. For more details, we’ll have to wait until we hear from the developers themselves.

Wriothesley

Wriothesley is supposedly a brawler like Heizou.
  • Title: Emissary of Solitary Iniquity
  • Vision: Cryo
  • Constellation: Cerberus

Known as Lord of the Fortress of Meropide, Wriothesley wardens a prison located deep beneath the seas of Fontaine. His constellation may have made his role apparent, but little else is known about him and the prison he administrates. Perhaps we’ll come across it in Fontaine’s Archon quest.

Wriothesley does seem to be a good administrator and doesn’t get too flattered by compliments. As described in HoYoverse’s tweet, “But even if someone was bent on infiltrating this place, they’d soon be swallowed up like breadcrumbs in a bowl of soup. Some have lauded His Grace’s aptitude for taking care of thorny problems. Hearing such praise, Wriothesley would simply lower his teacup… and pick up his newspaper.”

As for his kit, the information is just as slim as with Neuvillette. All we know is that he is a Cryo Catalyst user.

We’ll be sure to update you once we know more about them, as they’re scheduled for the 4.1 update. For more on Genshin Impact, check out:
