Arlecchino Shush in Genshin Impact

Here is a detailed guide on how to build Arlecchino in Genshin Impact, including her best weapons and artifacts, as well as how to play her.

Much like her fellow Harbingers, building and playing Arlecchino in Genshin Impact comes with its own set of quirks that you have to work around. You wouldn’t want to lowball our boss lady either, whose terrifying presence alone can intimidate the entirety of Teyvat.

So, here are the best weapons, artifacts, and team comps to pick for Arlecchino in Genshin Impact, including how to play her.

How to play Arlecchino in Genshin Impact

Arlecchino in Genshin Impact is an on-field Pyro DPS unit, and most of her damage comes from her normal attacks.

Her entire kit is centered around the “Bond of Life” combat mechanic, shown as the red border in your HP bar, and its aura prevents you from getting healed. This status effect was first introduced in the Fontaine region, where you can see the Wind Operatives using it.

Luckily, you don’t have to go fetch enemies to get her Bond of Life, since Arlecchino’s kit can generate it. Whenever you perform her Elemental Skill and follow up with a charged attack or Elemental Burst, you’ll get the Bond of Life.

It’s important to activate Arlecchino’s Bond of Life since it allows her normal attacks to be infused with Pyro. Being primarily a Pyro DMG dealer, you must have Bond of Life on her all the time.

So, the gist of playing Arlecchino in Genshin Impact is to perform her Elemental Skill and follow it with a charged attack. Now you have infusion so continue to deal with normal attacks.

Genshin Impact Arlecchino abilities explained

Normal Attack

Arlecchino’s normal attack has two states: a regular one and an infused one. As said earlier, the infused one is when you have a Bond of Life worth 30% of her HP.

Since all of her DMG is loaded into her infused state, it is the only one you’ll be looking into. The infused one also has a different range of attacks and is much cooler than regular ones. Also, given that normal attacks are the most important part of her kit, they should be your priority in terms of talent upgrades.

Elemental Skill (All is Ash)

In her Elemental Skill, Arlecchino dashes forward to summon Balemoon Bloodfire, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. Once it hits an enemy, she will deplete any Bond of Life that was applied to her.

It also marks enemies with the “Blood-Debt Directive,” and whenever Arlecchino performs her Elemental Burst or charged attack on marked enemies, she’ll gain Bond of Life worth 65% of her maximum HP, with a max cap of 145% every 35s. The cap is refreshed every time she performs her Elemental Skill.

So performing her Elemental Skill and following up with a charged attack or Elemental Burst is very important.

Elemental Burst (Balemoon Rising)

Arlecchino in her Burst mode in Genshin Impact
Elemental Burst will be third in terms of talent upgrade priority.

Deals AoE Pyro DMG absorbing and clearing Blood-Debt Directives around her and heals her. It’ll also reduce the cooldown of her Elemental Skill.

The biggest thing here is the cooldown reset, and since the only reliable way to get Bond of Life is by performing an Elemental Skill, having an Elemental Burst when needed is crucial.

Talent Passives

  • The Balemoon Alone May Know: Arlecchino can only be healed through her Elemental Burst and will gain a 40% Pyro DMG Bonus during combat.
  • Agony Alone May Be Repaid: Defeating enemies in the Blood-Debt Directive effect of Elemental Skill will grant Arlecchino a Bond of Life worth  130% of her Max HP. 5s after a Directive is applied, it will be upgraded to a Blood-Debt Due. When absorbed, it will instead grant Arlecchino a Bond of Life worth 130%.
  • Strength Alone Can Defend: For every 100 ATK over 1,000, Arlecchino will gain 1% of all Elemental and Physical RES. Max 20%.

Arlecchino’s Constellations

  • C1: Her infused normal attack state is further enhanced, the value of the increase is 100% and will increase her resistance to interruption.
  • C2: Directly start with Blood-Debt Due effect (Agony Alone May Be Repaid passive). When she absorbs the due, a flare of Balemoon Bloodfire will be fired dealing 900% of her ATK as AoE Pyro DMG.
  • C3: Increase Normal Attack level by 3.
  • C4: After a successful absorption of a Blood-Debt Directive, Elemental Burst’s CD will be decreased by 2s and she will have 15 Energy restored to her.
  • C5: Increases Elemental Burst level by 3.
  • C6: Whenever Arlecchino performs her Elemental Skill, she’ll gain a 10% CRIT Rate and 70% CRIT DMG for all her Normal Attacks for 20s. Additionally, her Elemental Burst damage is increased by Arlecchino’s ATK multiplied by 700% of her current Life Bond percentage.

Her C1 is the most useful constellation, as Arlecchino can easily get knocked back by the lightest of attacks. It is the same as Monsieur Neuvillette. While, of course, a higher constellation will increase her DMG tremendously (especially C6), you’ll have to cough out so much money that we wouldn’t recommend going for it.

In her re-runs, or if you already have enough saved, C1 is good. While using C0 is perfectly fine, you’ll need to be more careful.

Genshin Impact Arlecchino best weapons

Crimson Moon’s Semblance

Arlecchino with Crimson Moon's Semblance
Crimson Moon’s Semblance will be available starting version 4.6.

Crimson Moon’s Semblance is Arlecchino’s signature weapon and is also her best in the slot weapon. The reason is that it grants a Bond of Life with its passive, also provides a DMG bonus, and has a sub-stat of CRIT Rate.

Being a signature weapon also means you can only get it whenever Arlecchino is on the limited banner, so it isn’t exactly F2P-friendly. But no weapon comes near as no other 5-star weapon grants Bond of Life since it is so far exclusive to Arlecchino.

Primordial Jade Winged-Spear

Jade Spear is the second best in the slot for Arlecchino because it has a sub-stat of CRIT Rate and a passive that grants ATK. It is in the standard banner, so you may already have it, and it’s universally good for many Polearm units.

Staff of Homa and Scarlet Sands are another good option, and they perform almost on a similar level as Jade Spear.

Missive Windspear

Missive Windspear is our third pick for a weapon that you can use for Arlecchino. It is a 4-star weapon and F2P-friendly if you’ve been playing for a while and haven’t missed version 3.1’s Of Ballads and Brews event. However, this means if you don’t have it, you can’t unlock it.

It has a sub-stat of ATK%, with passive further providing ATK% and EM—both of which are useful for Arlecchino.

Other 4-star options include Dragon’s BaneBall of the Fjords, and Deathmatch.

Genshin Impact Arlecchino best artifacts

Before we dive into the best artifact for Arlecchino in Genshin Impact, there are certain things you need to keep in mind:

  • Arlecchino will benefit from CRIT, ATK, and EM stats.
  • Ideally use ATK Sands, Pyro DMG Goblet, and CRIT circlet (Rate or DMG whatever is less)
  • EM Sands is another option instead of ATK Sands.

4pc Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy

  • 2pc: +18% ATK.
  • 4pc: Damage dealt +18% when the value of the Bond of Life contract is increased or decreased. Upto six seconds and can be stacked three times.

Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy is Arlecchino’s best artifact and is cut above everything else. As already stressed multiple times, Arlecchino’s entire kit is heavily reliant on her having Bond of Life, so she’ll ideally have 100% uptime, so the 4pc is excellent for her. 2pc is also beneficial for Arlecchino, as she scales well with ATK.

The set will be available following the release of version 4.6.

4pc Gladiator’s Finale

  • 2pc: +18% ATK.
  • 4pc: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

Since Arlecchino uses a Polearm and her main source of damage is her Normal Attack, Gladiator’s Finale is her second-best in the slot. The one benefit of Gladiator’s Finale is that it has been in the game for a long time, so if you’ve played the game since the beginning, there is a high chance that you have a good 4pc lying around.

Other options include Crimson Witch of Flame, pairing any 2pc ATK-provide set with a 2pc Pyro DMG set, or another ATK set.

Genshin Impact Arlecchino best team and rotations

In Genshin Impact, Arlecchino works best when teamed up with Kazuha, Yelan, and Bennett. It is a Vaporize team and will give you the best results, but it has only one problem: since there’s no shielder in the team, you may struggle with Arlecchino’s feather-like resistance to interruption.

  • Best team: Arlecchino — Kazuha — Yelan — Bennett
    • Rotations:
      • Arlecchino Elemental Skill
      • Yelan Elemental Skill
      • Yelan Elemental Burst
      • Kazuha Elemental Burst
      • Bennett Elemental Skill
      • Bennett Elemental Burst
      • Kazuha Elemental Skill
      • Arlecchino Charged Attack
      • Arlecchino Normal Attack
      • … continue Normal Attack
      • End with Arlecchino Elemental Burst
      • Repeat

An alternative for this team is Zhongli instead of Kazuha. This provides additional defense and will play much easier at damage’s cost.

Other teams:

  • Arlecchino — Chevreuse (need C6) — Fischl — Yae Miko
  • Arlecchino — Kazuha — Bennett — Xiangling
