Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu join forces in the new Hawaii setting of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, a game that offers all the Yakuza franchise is well known for. Since 2020, the series has been available on Xbox Game Pass, but is its latest release in it?

This year started strong in the videogame releases section, and titles like Tekken 8 or Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are taking over the first months of 2024. Now, it is SEGA’s turn to take the stage with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, available since January 26, 2024.

With both Kasuga and Kiryu returning as two playable protagonists in the game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth tells the story of their adventures in Hawaii, the franchise’s first-ever location outside of Japan.

As the Yakuza franchise has always been in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, many wonder if it will be the same with this title.

Here’s whether Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is on Xbox Game Pass.

Is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on Xbox Game Pass?

No, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is not available on Xbox Game Pass. In an interview with Automation Media, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s director Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed that the title wouldn’t be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Kiryu returns as one of the main protagonists in the game.

“At the moment, there are no plans for Infinite Wealth to come to Game Pass,” said Yokoyama. As Yokoyama does not reveal anything about the probability of a future release on Xbox Game Pass, there’s always a chance that the devs decide to put it on the service like its predecessors.

Yokoyama further clarified that “Game Pass proved to be a very good method to invite new users to interact with the series, and the aim of Like a Dragon Gaiden was to do just that.” It would seem that introducing Kiryu’s story to the world was RGG’s strategy to drive everyone inside Infinite Wealth.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth not only covers the entirety of Hawaii as a map but also includes several Japanese locations as well. With two playable characters, tons of missions and side-quests to take on, and an enormous map, this title is easily one of the biggest Yakuza games of all time.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC. If you want to check out more about Ryu Ga Gotoku’s latest, check out:
