If you’re lucky enough, you might get Chub on sale for 200g in Krobus’ shop on Wednesdays and like most fishes, it can randomly appear in the Traveling Cart for 150-1000g.

Best Chub uses in Stardew Valley

The Chub has the following uses in Stardew Valley:

  • You can complete the Field Research Bundle which comprises Purple Mushroom, Nautilus Shell, Chub, and Frozen Geode.
  • Use the Chub in the Sewing Machine to create a Fishing Vest.
  • You can craft these dishes with a Chub:
    • Maki Roll – 1x Fish, 1x Seaweed, and 1x Rice
    • Sashimi – Any fish
    • Quality Fertilizer – 4x Sap and 1x Fish
  • Willy may ask your for 1-4 Chub through the Help Wanted board outside the General Store.
  • You might have to hand out 2 Chub to complete the Fish Pond quest.
