How to catch the Spring Legendary Fish in Stardew Valley

The Spring Legendary Fish, the Legend, can only be found during rainy weather in Stardew Valley in the Mountain Lake

You can find The Legend here during the Spring.

The Legend can be caught once you have reached Level 10 in your Fishing skill, and it can be found in the Mountain Lake during rainy weather at any time of the day. You’re going to want to aim your line at the big log in the lake, which you can find on the West side of the lake.

Your bobber needs to be at least five tiles away from any land while you look for it. That means that most likely, you will need to try and cast your line up to max on the green bar before you let it go.

Once you have met these conditions, the Legend has a 10% chance of appearing, and it has a difficulty score of 110. So be ready!

You need to make sure your line is cast at least four tiles away from land, and the Crimsonfish has an 18% chance to appear with a difficulty level of 95.

How to catch the Mutant Carp in Stardew Valley

The Mutant Carp can be caught during any season in Stardew Valley in the Sewers

Fishing in the Sewers Stardew Valley
You can only catch the Mutant Carp once you have unlocked the Sewers.

To access the Sewers, you need to donate 60 items to the Museum collection. Once you have done so, Gunther will give you the key to the Sewer where you can find the Mutant Carp.

You can find artifacts and gems to donate to the Museum through mining and by using your Hoe on artifact spots in the ground. Artifact spots can be found by spotting three little worms sticking out of the ground.

Every time you fish in the Sewers, there is a 10% chance of the Mutant Carp appearing and it has a difficulty score of 80.

Tips for catching Legendary Fish in Stardew Valley

Legendary Fish are the most difficult to catch in Stardew Valley, so you need to prepare before you attempt to catch them.

Here are a few tips to get you started:

  • Use bait like Deluxe bait or Premium bait. This will increase your chances of getting a bite.
  • Use tackle that makes fishing easier, like the Cork Bobber or Trap Bobber.
  • You can increase your fishing skill momentarily by eating food that increases your skill, like Trout Soup or Seafoam Pudding
  • Keep trying. These fish are particularly difficult, so keep trying to catch them and you will succeed!

Legendary Fish can only be caught once, so make sure you know what you’d like to do with them before you sell them. You can sell them each for really good money, but you can also keep them in a fish tank to admire them any time you want.
