If you’re looking to catch Red Snapper in Stardew Valley, it’s important to know the easiest locations to catch it, along with its availability in different seasons. So, here’s all you need to know.

While the Deluxe Bait will allow you to catch fish a lot quicker in Stardew Valley, after the 1.6 update, you still need to know their spawn locations. In some cases, like the Red Snapper, you also need to know the weather conditions to do so.

If you wish to catch a lot of Red Snappers, here are all the things you should know.

Where to catch Red Snapper in Stardew Valley

In Stardew Valley, you can find and catch the Red Snapper in the ocean located at the southern edge of the map. However, you can only catch this fish during the Summer and Fall seasons on rainy days, and if you wish to catch Red Snappers during Winter, you’ll need to use a Rain Totem.

Additionally, the best time to bag some of these fish is between 6 AM to 7 PM. Alternatively, the Traveling Cart also randomly sells Red Snappers for 150 – 1000 Gold each.

While you can catch and sell Red Snappers directly, you can increase their value by putting them in a Fish Pond. As a result, you’ll get Red Snapper Roe, which can be sold for 55 Gold.

You can also transform the Roes into Artisan Goods by using a Preserve Jar, which turns the fish into Aged Roe and goes for a minimum of 110 Gold.

Red Snapper uses

You can use the Red Snapper in three recipes, and these are:

  • Maki Roll
  • Quality Fertilizer
  • Sashimi

It’s also worth noting that you need one Red Snapper for the Ocean Fish Bundle quest in the Community Centre, enabling you to repair the Fish Tank.
