Payday 3’s Dirty Ice heist can be beaten without getting spotted by the guards or triggering the alarms. If you’re jumping into this heist in Payday 3, here’s how you can escape after looting the jewelry store while maintaining stealth.

Despite Payday 3 launching to mixed reviews on Steam, plenty of players are jumping into the heists to level up as fast as possible. Payday 3 offers eight heists with various difficulty levels for players to finish, either with bots or friends.

The Dirty Ice heist is the third heist in Payday 3’s storyline and requires you to break into the Ashton Fine jewelry store and escape with the loot. So, here’s how you can complete the Dirty Ice heist in stealth in Payday 3.

How to stealth complete Dirty Ice heist in Payday 3

Before beginning the heist, the level of difficulty you set will determine the kind of objectives you get while playing this heist in Payday 3. In this guide, we’ll go over the steps to get in and out of the jewelry store on the Normal difficulty, without breaking your stealth.

Make sure to remove your masks before you begin the heist and walk around the jewelry store, taking note of the security guards and camera locations. If a security guard spots you looking around, he’ll force you to leave the area.

The best way to make your way into the store’s private areas is through the back. You can gain access to the back area by lockpicking the gate towards the left side of the building or by heading down into the alleyway. Once you’re inside this area, you will find a guard patrolling.

Sneak behind the guard and grab his blue keycard. While sneaking into the area, you’ll also find a phone on the ground. Search the phone, and scan the QR code on the nearby door to get access to the jewelry store. Once you’re inside the store, you’ll need to lockpick the wooden door (manager’s office) towards the left.

Keep in mind that a guard patrols the hallway area in Payday 3’s Dirty Ice heist, so if you’re spotted, you should quickly put your mask on and kill the guard. Then, grab his body and hide it somewhere no one will patrol.

How to gain access to the jeweler’s workshop in Dirty Ice heist

You need the manager to get into the jeweler’s workshop. The workshop’s entrance is secured with a biometric scanner and only the manager is authorized to enter.

The manager can be seen in the front room of the store, wearing a blue shirt and a yellow scarf. Exit the basement and head back upstairs to the manager’s office. Use the phone to call the manager and blackmail her into returning to her office. Once she returns, you can take her as a hostage and head over to the workshop.

Shove the manager into the workshop door and she will unlock it. You can bring any bags of jewelry to the scanner inside the workshop and have them scanned to increase their value. This will help you secure a bigger payout once you complete the Dirty Ice heist in Payday 3.

How to unlock and loot the vault in Dirty Ice heist

Finally, head over to the vault located in the middle of the central hallway, towards the back of the jewelry store. You have to complete two tasks simultaneously to unlock the vault:

Press the button on the manager’s desk
Scan the red keycard on the scanner next to the vault

If you’re playing alone, there’s still a way to complete this part of the Dirty Ice heist. Escort the manager to her office and shove her in front of the button on her desk. Now, she’ll press the button for you, and while she does this, you can make your way to the vault door and scan the keycard.

Inside the vault, you’ll find a rare stone, which will greatly add to your loot earned from the Dirty Ice heist in Payday 3.
