NetEase initially revealed their new 6v6 shooter, Marvel Rivals, back on March 27 and confirmed the game’s availability on Steam and Epic Games Store. They also announced a Closed Alpha set to take place in May specifically for PC players.

This led to speculation online with some players wondering whether the Overwatch-inspired title will be skipping console entirely. The devs now revealed more information on the topic, so here’s everything we know about Marvel Rivals on consoles.

Is Marvel Rivals on PlayStation & Xbox?

Yes, Marvel Rivals is coming to PlayStation and Xbox. The game was confirmed for both console platforms on May 31. While it currently isn’t available for download, you can add it to your wishlist by heading to the Marvel Rivals store page on the PlayStation or Xbox digital store.

Players will get their first taste of Marvel Rivals gameplay on consoles during the closed Beta test scheduled to kick off in June. The test will see participation from users on all platforms and the devs have also confirmed that the game supports crossplay, allowing you to team up with your friends on other platforms.

Prior to this announcement, the game was only confirmed for release on PC. There were some hints suggesting that a console release announcement was scheduled for the future, sparking weeks of speculation from fans online. It took two months, but the Marvel-themed hero shooter is now set to drop on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
