Marvel Rivals, NetEase’s Overwatch-inspired shooter, finally confirmed its Closed Alpha Test release date. While the devs already teased the list of heroes and villains that will be part of its roster, they’ve also described which maps will be available during the test period.

Only three maps in Marvel Rivals have been revealed so far:

  • Yggsgard path
  • Yggsgard: Royal Palace
  • Tokyo 2099: Shin- Shibuya

The announcement trailer was filled with footage of Yggsgard, a location within Asgard that features design elements Marvel fans will recognize. The map borrows from the Nordic side of the comics, as evidenced by the tree of life, Yggdrasil, placed in the backdrop. A now-deleted video that showed off finer details of the arena also provided a look at a mural of Hela, the sister of Thor. Yggsgard is confirmed to have destructible environments and multiple floors.

As for Tokyo 2099, the devs shared a glimpse at the map through promotional images for the game. The most prominent of these displayed the heroes coursing through the futuristic city’s skyline and even had a Miguel O’Hara (Spider-Man 2099) easter egg.

Those were all the Marvel Rivals map revealed so far. We’ll be sure to upgrade this guide once more information arrives.
