Iron Man and Hulk in Marvel Rivals

Marvels Rivals lets players take control of their favorite heroes and villains, to battle in Overwatch-style 6v6 matches. Here is every character confirmed to appear in Marvel Rivals.

The announcement of Marvel Rivals sparked plenty of excitement among comic book fans. Partly because it draws heavily from hero shooters like Overwatch, but mainly because it puts them in control of their favorite superheroes and villains.

Each character has their own unique moveset that fits a certain playstyle, from long-range specialists to damage-soaking tanks. But which familiar faces make up the roster?

Here is every character in Marvel Rivals so far.

On top of all the heroes, mutants, and villains listed above, the official reveal trailer also showed off Galacta. She was also used for the Closed Alpha Test announcement, but it isn’t clear at this stage if she will be a playable fighter or more of a background presence.

The official Marvel Rivals website also mentions that Doctor Doom and his 2099 variant will be the main villain of the multiverse-spanning story. Again though, there is no word yet on whether Victor will be getting his hands dirty by joining the roster.

Marvel Rivals Loki reveal trailer

Ahead of the Closed Alpha, Marvel released a trailer giving us more insight into Loki’s abilities and gameplay. Check it out below:

Loki is a Strategist, although it’s still unclear what exactly that role means in the context of the game. He has your basic shooting ability, but it also looks like another ability could allow him to either buff or heal players around him.

As for his Ultimate ability, it’s looking like he’ll be able to turn into another Hero on the enemy team – similar to Echo in Overwatch 2.

Marvel Rivals reveals Hela for Closed Alpha

Marvel Rivals devs have revealed that Hela will be a brand new character players can pick in the Closed Alpha.

Hela is a Duelist, which could be Marvel Rivals’ term for a DPS character. The first look was shared in the official Marvel Rivals discord, where they also confirmed that she will be available to play in the Closed Alpha.

This announcement also sparked interest among fans, who think that Thor could be the next hero they announce for the game. Nonetheless, we will keep you updated with all the announcements that come in before it goes live on 10 May.

Will there be post-launch characters in Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals will receive new characters after launch, as confirmed by devs NetEase in the announcement blog. The game will be supported by seasonal updates that deliver fresh content, and new members of the roster are very much part of the roadmap.

They said: “Each seasonal drop will introduce new Super Heroes to the battlefield along with challenging and diverse maps!”

However, there have been no announcements or even teases about who these new characters could be. But given the sheer number of different super-powered personalities the brand has created over the years, there are plenty of heroes that would fit seamlessly into a PvP multiplayer game.

Those were all of the characters in Marvel Rivals at launch, we’ll be sure to update this page with new fighters that get announced.
