Many FromSoftware titles are verified by Valve for Steam Deck and gamers are curious if Armored Core 6 works well with Valve’s portable gaming device. Here’s what you need to know about Armored Core 6 on Steam Deck.

Armored Core 6 lets players soar over vast battlefields in massive metal suits, and as with any FromSoftware game, agility is key for accurate movement and dodging. The game challenges players with around 50 missions that can take up to a dozen hours to finish if you are not careful.

We already have the confirmed PC specs, file size, and preload instructions for the game, but Steam Deck players are still wondering if the game will run smoothly on Valve’s handheld.

Here’s all we know about Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon on Steam Deck.

Is Armored Core 6 Steam Deck compatible?

Yes, Armored Core 6 is Steam Deck compatible, similar to other FromSoftware games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls. Not only that, but developers have shared that they’ll fully support the game on Valve’s handheld.

The Armored Core 6 Steam file size is around 45 GB.

Armored Core 6’s game director, Masaru Yamamura, confirmed this in an interview with Digital Trends, “Obviously seeing how well Elden Ring performed on the Steam Deck, we were very happy, and we wanted to at least create that as a baseline going forward for this handheld. So it is fully supported for Steam Deck … we just want to reassure players that it will be fully supported.”

If you check the list of all games that have received a “verified” mark from Valve, you’ll find Elden Ring and some Dark Souls games mentioned. A verified badge means the game runs extremely well on Steam Deck.
