FromSoftware is returning to its sci-fi mech roots with Armored Core 6, after a decade of exclusively building eerie and mythical worlds in Soulsborne games. All of the details that FromSoftware have shared about the game imply that it’s retaining all of the series’ hallmarks, and has no major leaning toward its Souls counterparts.
But being a FromSoftware game, no matter how long it is, every mission is going to be tough, and the only thing you can rush is the download as you can preload it before its release.

When is the Armored Core 6 preload date?
Xbox players can already preload Armored Core 6 if they’ve pre-ordered it. The dates will be different based on platforms. The preload for PlayStation is also live as of August 23, two days before the game’s release.
Unfortunately, no dates for PC storefronts have been shared by FromSoftware so far. Steam preloads usually begin 24 hours before release. This means that you should be able to preload the game from August 23rd at 3 PM PDT / 6 PM EST / 11 PM BST.
How to preload Armored Core 6
The process to preload Armored Core 6 is the same on every storefront. Just follow these steps:
- Go to your desired storefront — Steam, PlayStation Store, or Xbox — and search for Armored Core 6.
- Click on pre-order.
- Once you’ve pre-ordered one of its many editions, a “Preload” button, or simply a “Download” button, should pop up.
- Click on it, and you’ll be able to preload Armored Core.
If it isn’t obvious, you have to preorder the game before it releases in order to be able to preload.

Armored Core 6 release time
Armored Core 6 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on Friday, August 25 at 12 AM local time.
The game will be available on PC via Steam on Thursday, August 24 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET / 11 PM BST.
