Rise of the Ronin is almost here, and players are wondering when they can preload Team Ninja’s new game, as well as how much space it will take on their PS5.

One of the most anticipated PlayStation exclusive games of 2024 is called Rise of the Ronin, a trip down memory lane with its Feudal Japan setting.

Team Ninja, responsible for the NiOh franchise, promised an Edo-period adventure once more, and players will be able to play as a renegade samurai in an all-new Action RPG.

So, to bring down your anxiety while you wait to play it, here’s when you’ll be able to preload Rise of the Ronin, as well as how much free storage space you will need on your PS5.

How to preload Rise of the Ronin on PS5

To preload Rise of the Ronin, once preordered from the PlayStation store, just head to your PS5 Library or the game’s official store listing to start the preload download.

Preloads for Rise of the Ronin on PS5 unlocked on March 15. If you download all game files before its launch, you can start playing on its release date, March 22, as soon as it becomes available in your region.

Rise of the Ronin file size

Rise of the Ronin’s preload file size is 96.3 GB, and it will include Version 1.001.001 on the day one download.

While players weren’t expecting a day one patch, the PlayStation Game Size X account revealed an update of approximately 1GB will be coming with Rise of the Ronin’s official release.
