Getting food to regain health in LEGO Fortnite is crucial, so building your own garden in your village can help you get ingredients easily. Here’s everything you need to know to make Garden Plots in LEGO Fortnite.

LEGO Fortnite took the community by storm, and now it boasts more players than the battle royale in Chapter 5 Season 1. The Minecraft-inspired game mode lets players create villages and explore randomly generated worlds alone or with friends to gather all kinds of resources from different biomes and locations, among many other things.

Building and upgrading your village is key to unlock most of LEGO Fortnite’s features and items, and making your own garden is a great way of ensuring you’ll always have ingredients to elaborate food.

So, if you’re wondering what you need to make Garden Plots in LEGO Fortnite, here’s everything you need to know.

How to make Garden Plots in LEGO Fortnite

To make a Garden Plot in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll need to gather 2 Soil and 1 Fertilizer. Once you have those items, simply press the Build button – circle on PlayStation, B on Xbox, A on Switch, and Q by default on PC – and scroll down the Utility tab until you see the Garden Plot. If you don’t see the Utility on the list, you’ll need to get or craft a Shovel to unlock the recipe.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you make a Garden Plot in LEGO Fortnite:

  1. Collect 2 Soil and 1 Fertilizer.
  2. Press the Build button and stay on the ‘Utility’ tab.
  3. Scroll down to the ‘Village’ section.
  4. Tap on Garden Plot.
  5. Place the Garden Plot somewhere in your village.

If you have enough Soil and Fertilizer, you can make more Garden Plots to build an entire garden. Additionally, you can add fences all around it to keep wild animals away from your crops.

Once you have Garden Plots in your village, simply interact with any of them to plant any seeds you might have found during your expeditions. Alternatively, you can build a Grain Mill to get seeds out of different Food items, but the Utility won’t be available to you early in your playthrough.

How to get Soil in LEGO Fortnite

Luckily for LEGO Fortnite players, all you need to do to get Soil is to dig anywhere on the ground with a Shovel. You need 3 Wooden Rods and 1 Plank to make a Shovel, but you might also find one in a Chest while exploring.

It’s also worth noting that getting a Shovel, whether by building it or finding it, will unlock the recipe for the Garden Plot automatically.

How to get Fertilizer in LEGO Fortnite

Fertilizer can be found around groups of animals in LEGO Fortnite. The game’s Fertilizer is nothing more than animal excrement, so you can find it lying around cows, sheep, chickens, and other animals.

If you don’t find any Fertilizer around animals, you can drop Vines or different seeds to attract animals in your vicinity. Once an animal eats the food you left, it will produce one Fertilizer for you.

And there you have it! You’re ready to build your own garden in LEGO Fortnite. For more on the game mode, check some of our other guides below:
