As in Fortnite, balloons are a great way to cover long distances without having to walk. Luckily for players, crafting balloons isn’t hard in LEGO Fortnite, although it might be a little bit tricky to unlock its recipe.

In LEGO Fortnite, you’ll need to complete some steps before getting the chance to unlock the balloon’s recipe. Here’s what you need to do:

You’ll first need to unlock the balloon recipe before being able to use it.

You need to build a Loom, a Utility that you can craft with 9 Flexwood, 8 Flexwood Rod, and 6 Sand Claw.
Get Silk from a spider (they usually spawn anywhere in the grasslands), and then put it into the Loom to make Silk Fabric.
After getting the first Silk Fabric, you’ll unlock the balloon recipe in the Toys menu.
After getting the balloon recipe, you’ll need 1 Silk Fabric, 1 Torch, and 1 Cord to craft one.

How to unlock large balloons in LEGO Fortnite

Large balloons have more lift than normal ones in LEGO Fortnite and can let you build your own hot air balloon if you attach it to a Dynamic Foundation platform. Here’s how to craft a large balloon in LEGO Fortnite:

You can use Large balloons to fly higher than normal Balloons would.

Craft 2x Silk Fabric using the Loom.
Craft 1x Torch using the Crafting Bench.
Craft 1x Cord using the Spinning Wheel.
