Lords of the Fallen is out and ready with its new-gen Unreal Engine 5 graphics and challenging gameplay. With many quests to embark on and NPCs to interact with, this game is filled with peculiar encounters like the Tortured Prisoner, so here’s how to save her in Lords of the Fallen.

Just like souls-like titles such as Elden Ring and other FromSoftware games, you will set off into a dark fantasy world in Lords of the Fallen. With challenging combat and areas to explore, this game also makes you interact with various NPCs to discover their stories.

One such NPC is the Tortured Prisoner who you will find to be locked inside a cell, but many players are wondering how to set her free.

Here’s how to free the Tortured Prisoner in Lords of the Fallen.

Tortured Prisoner location in Lords of the Fallen

The Tortured Prisoner is located in a cell on the other side of Skyrest Bridge, the main hub area of Lords of the Fallen. You can interact with her after meeting her for the first time, but her dialogue will be illegible due to a metal mask barring her face.

You will find a spiral staircase on the other side of the room. Take it and move down as this is where you will start your quest.

Moving into the Umbral realm will play a big part in this quest.

How to liberate the Tortured Prisoner in Lords of the Fallen

To free the Tortured Prisoner in Lords of the Fallen, you will have to destroy three Umbral tumors and get the Searing Accusation while being in the Umbral realm.

As you move down the staircase from the cell, you will notice that there is a crypt there. Use your lamp to get into the Umbral Realm here and continue moving forward. Don’t worry, you will not be attacked as you are still in the game’s hub area.

While moving, look to the right. You will find an Umbral tumor which you should destroy by using your lamp. You should notice that this will influence an Umbral eye on the bridge at a distance. Now you will have to destroy two other tumors to be able to use the space blocked by the eye.

You will find the second tumor on a wall located on the left of the bridge in Lords of the Fallen. Destroying it will trigger a platform that will help you to reach the third Umbral tumor. Once you have destroyed the third one, climb up to the bridge.

Climb up the unlocked ladder and use your lamp on the newly revealed mechanism that was hidden because of the eye. You will get the Searing Accusation, an item that can be used to free the Tortured Prisoner. Return back to the prisoner and give her the item, and then rest at the Vestige.

You can liberate the Tortured Prisoner quite easily by following these simple steps.

This will transport her to her new location, which is just outside the Skyrest in the Pieta boss arena. Now she will be a merchant in Lords of the Fallen and will thank you for freeing her from captivity.

To recap, here’s how to free the Tortured Prisoner in Lords of the Fallen:

  1. Move to the Umbral realm and go down the stairs from the cell.
  2. Destroy the three Umbral tumors one by one.
  3. Once you destroy them, move up the ladder in the bridge and use your lamp on the newly found mechanism.
  4. Get the Searing Accusation and return to the cell.
  5. Give her the key and rest at the Vestige to find her at her new location.

This was everything you had to know about freeing the Tortured Prisoner in the game.
