With ten classes to choose from at the beginning of Lords of the Fallen, it’s difficult to know which one you should go for. Here are the best classes in Lords of the Fallen so you know the one you should pick.

Lords of the Fallen is the newest addition to the soulslike catalog of 2023. With a map five times bigger than its predecessor that shares the same name and new-gen graphics, LOTF will likely be enjoyed by Elden Ring and FromSoftware fans.

The game offers a selection of different classes to begin your playthrough with, and each of them has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. Due to this, many players might feel overwhelmed and begin to wonder which class they should move forward with.

Here are the best classes in Lords of the Fallen.

The game gives you a variety of classes to choose from.

All classes in Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen has a total of ten starting classes, with one of them locked behind the Deluxe Edition of the game:

  • Blackfeather Ranger
  • Condemned
  • Dark Crusader *Deluxe Edition
  • Exiled Stalker
  • Hallowed Knight
  • Mournstead Infantry
  • Orian Preacher
  • Partisan
  • Pyric Cultist
  • Udirangr Warwolf

Although each of these classes has its own pros and cons, we have picked a set of them that might be the best suited for you if you want to have a great time in the game.

Lords of the Fallen best classes to use

Based on our experience with Lords of the Fallen, the best classes in the game are the Dark Crusader, Hallowed Knight, Orian Preacher, and Exiled Stalker.

Keep in mind that these are entirely based on the early game as you can build your character in any way you want as the game progresses, regardless of your chosen class.

You can get any desired build with any class as you progress in the game.

Dark Crusader

The Dark Crusader is one of the best classes in Lords of the Fallen as it is locked behind the Deluxe Edition. However, keep in mind that you can unlock it later in your playthrough even with the Standard Edition.

With a heavy focus on Strength and Endurance, the Dark Crusader is the ideal tank you’ll want in a game like Lords of the Fallen. You can pair it with the Bloody Glory or the Sword of Skin & Tooth later in the game to use its buffed Strength and Radiance.

Its biggest plus points are its health, damage, and the fact that it starts at Level 14, higher than any other class in the game. The only drawback? You will have to pay $10 to get it at the beginning of the game.

Hallowed Knight

The Hallowed Knight can be classified as another version of the Dark Crusader, although a bit weaker in the beginning. It starts off with the best shield in the game, with relatively strong medium and heavy armor.

The Hallowed Knight is a great starting class in the game.

Plus, its attack combos with the Longsword are some of the most damage-inflicting swings in the early game. If you want a Dark Crusader-like playstyle but do not want to pay for the Deluxe Edition, go for the Hallowed Knight.

Aside from Longswords, Grand Swords like the Sword of Skin & Tooth, which are available later in the game are a great option if you are going for a Strength build with this class.

Orian Preacher

The Orian Preacher has one of the best magical affinities for the early game called Radiance. It can inflict severe damage to enemies and can be used as both a ranged and a melee weapon in Lords of the Fallen. As Radiance is the most significant aspect of this build, you can pair it with Pieta’s Sword to maximize its damage.

Although the Pyric Cultist can be a great shout too, many enemies in the early areas of the game are resistant to fire. If you are a magic fan, go for the Orian Preacher – you can equip any other magic type later in the game either way.

Exiled Stalker

The Exiled Stalker is the only dual-wielded class option that you get at the beginning of Lords of the Fallen. As this class relies on Agility, you can expect some fast and devastating attacks during combat. Kukajin’s Sword is a great choice for Agility builds in Lords of the Fallen.

However, the only drawback is its low health, making the Exiled Stalker a bit of a glass cannon during the early game. Once you invest some skill points to buff its health up, you can have a great time cutting through hordes of enemies.

These were our picks for the best classes in Lords of the Fallen. At the end of the day, your personal choice is key, as you should play the game however you want to. For more on the game, you can go through our other guides:
