How to complete Rat’s Nest task in Gray Zone Warfare

Rat’s Nest is a task you can acquire from Handshake in Gray Zone Warfare and this two-part quest has proved to be confusing for some players. With this in mind, here’s how to complete the Rat’s Nest task.

Gray Zone Warfare is currently in early access, although it has already provided plenty of content to go through. The realistic mil-sim features a variety of tasks players can take on, including Rat’s Nest which requires them to locate two pieces of intel.

So, here’s how you can complete the Rat’s Nest task in Gray Zone Warfare.

Gray Zone Warfare: How to complete Rat’s Nest task

To complete the Rat’s Nest task in Gray Zone Warfare, you’ll need to gather intel from two different hideouts and hand them over to Handshake. Both hideouts are on opposite ends of Nam Thaven town.

Gray Zone Warfare: East hideout location

The first hideout in Gray Zone Warfare is located just past the Water Tower landmark, at map squares 172 118. The hideout features a small red sign right at the entrance and is heavily guarded by enemies.

After dealing with them, head inside the hideout, go up the stairs, and you can find a Thug’s Smartphone sitting on a disk. Collecting it will complete the first objective of the task.

Gray Zone Warfare: Northwest hideout location

The second hideout in the Rat’s Nest task in Gray Zone Warfare can be found on the opposite side of town, at map squares 169 120.

The hideout has red markings which should help distinguish it from surrounding buildings. Just like the first hideout, expect plenty of resistance from enemies. Once they’re defeated, head inside and collect an item named Convict’s Notepad from a wooden table to complete the second objective.

Gray Zone Warfare: Handshake location

After gathering the required intel, head back to Base Camp and hand it over to Handshake to complete the Rat’s Nest task in Gray Zone Warfare.

To hand the items over, just open up the menu, click on ‘Vendors,’ then select Handshake, and click on ‘Hand Over’ under Objectives.
