There’s plenty of fun to be had in Helldivers 2, especially if you party up with your friends and go around squashing bugs on alien planets. Developed by Arrowhead Studios, the title is the sequel to 2015’s Helldivers, and it improves on the original in many different ways.

Aside from the shift to a third-person perspective, Helldivers 2 also brings a massive visual upgrade and refinements to the gameplay among other things.

Just like the original, your ship serves as a base of operations and you can even change its name. With this in mind, here’s how to change the ship name in Helldivers 2.

Follow these steps to change your ship’s name in Helldivers 2:

  1. Inside your ship, head towards the Ship Management terminals and interact with it.
  2. In the Ship Management menu, press Square on PS5 or R on keyboard to open the Change Ship Name menu.
  3. Scroll through all available ship names and make your selection by pressing X on PS5 or left-click on PC.

It’s important to note that you can only use this method after completing the opening tutorial. The game will also ask you to name your ship before making your first helldive. If you wish to rename your ship at any point, you can use to Ship Management terminal to do so.
