In response to the Helldivers 2 server issues, some players have been refusing to log out of the game. Others have been calling on the devs to fix this issue, and the CEO of Arrowhead Studios has finally responded.

The success of Helldivers 2 has meant that recently the game has been running into problems with server issues. Players are struggling to log in and stay in the game even though Arrowhead Studios have increased the server capacity.

As a reaction to the server issues, players have decided to stay logged in to the game to make sure they can hop on and play anytime they want. This has caused some major issues with others trying to log in, however, and everyone is asking for a solution to this problem.

While there has not been any official communication about fixing the login issues, CEO of Arrowhead and Creative Director of Helldivers 2 Johan Pilestedt said they are looking into it.

X user ‘PowerSerg’ tagged Pilestedt in a post asking them to look into the logout problems. “Please add AFK auto kick,” they posted on February 19. “People are leaving the game on all day and it’s definitely causing issues for people to actually get in.”

In the comments, Pilestedt responded by simply saying that he agreed and had mentioned it to the Helldivers 2 team, indicating that they are looking into it. Fans were happy to see that the dev was aware of the issue, because many have had a bad experience with others refusing to log out.

“They’re ruining it for others and they’re making this issue worse. They don’t want to log out because they don’t want their server spot taken and then forced to wait in queue again,” another player commented.

In the latest update, Arrowhead increased the servers to have a capacity of 450,000 players at once. However, considering that Helldivers 2 hit a peak of 388,754 players at once only on Steam, it makes sense that players are still having issues with logging in.
