Genshin Impact version 4.4: All new skins & how to get them

Version 4.4 of Genshin Impact saw three new 4-star skins added to the game, and one is earnable for free in Lantern Rite, so here are details on all the skins and how to get them. 

Version 4.4 of Genshin Impact is now live, and it has added tons of new content to HoYoverse’s open-world RPG. It is one of the bigger patches, and outside of the usual, like new characters and regions, it also added three new skins.

Lantern Rite is the major focus of the patch, so all added skins are for characters that are from the Liyue region. In fact, if you play a bit of Lantern Rite, you can get one skin for free, and the others are available with a limited-time discount during the version. 

All that said, here’s how to get every new skin in Genshin Impact 4.4.

Genshin Impact version 4.4 all new skins

Genshin Impact version 4.4 added skins for Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xingqiu. All the three skins are 4-star in rarity. 

Xingqiu’s skin is called “Bamboo Rain,” Ganyu’s skin is called “Twilight Blossom,” and Shenhe’s skin is called “Frostflower Dew.”

How to get Genshin Impact version 4.4 skins & prices 

All three skins can be purchased in Genshin Impact for Genesis Crystal from the “Character Outfits” menu in the shop.

Genesis Cyrstal is a premium currency and you’ll have to cough up real money to buy it. Here is how much Genesis Crystal these skins will cost (skins will be sold at a discount during version 4.4):  

• Ganyu and Shenhe:
  • Version 4.4: 1,350 Genesis Crystals ($21.96/£20.46, or x5 Welkin Moon)
  • After version 4.4: 1,680 Genesis Crystals ($27.94/£25.94 or x6 Welkin Moon)
• Xingqiu:
  • Version 4.4: Free
  • After version 4.4: 1,680 Genesis Crystals ($27.94/£25.94 or x6 Welkin Moon).

Xingqiu skin is not getting a discount because it is available for free during version 4.4 through Lantern Rite, and it’ll be available for purchase only after version 4.4.

How to get Xingqiu skin for free in Lantern Rite

To get Xingqui skin for free in Genshin Impact you just have to play the “Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze” event, which is the Lantern Rite.

There are many sub-events, like Paper Shadows A-Foraging, and playing and completing them will net you Festival Fever. Once you’ve 600 Festival Fever, you can claim Xingqiu skin for free.

To claim the skin, just go to the event menu in-game and click on Festival Fever. You can find both the free 4-star available as well as the skin there.

If you do not claim the skin during version 4.4, you’ll have to buy the skin in future versions, similar to other characters.
