Clearwater Jade is an ascension material for Genshin Impact’s Xianyun. If you’re wondering where to find all of them, as well as the best farming routes, here’s all you need to know.

Genshin Impact version 4.4 is live, and it brought a brand-new expansion of Chenyu Vale for Liyue. As usual, each region has its own set of specialties for materials, and for Chenyu Vale, one of them is Clearwater Jade.

You’ll need 168 of these if you’re to fully upgrade Xianyun to level 90. Farming isn’t very tedious this time, as you can navigate most of Chenyu Vale’s tall mountains through similar zip line mechanics as seen in previous regions like Sumeru.

Tips to farm Clearwater Jade in Genshin Impact

Before you begin collecting Clearwater Jade in Genshin Impact, here are certain tips to make it easier: 

• Use Qiqi or Yanfei if you’ve trouble spotting them, having them in your party will make Jade’s location visible in your mini-map (it’ll also highlight other local materials).
• Razor and Zhongli are the best duo to quickly collect Clearwater Jade as a single charged Elemental Skill will pop most of them open. 
• You can collect them in your friend’s world too. Unlike some other materials, both you and your friend can collect them in the same world, provided they weren’t already collected before the co-op session.
• It is best to unlock all the teleporters first, this makes repetitive farming easier.

As for the routes, here are all the quick and best routes for Clearwater Jade in Genshin Impact:

Route 1: Teatree Slope

First, teleport to the Statue of The Seven located northeast of the image and follow the red line.  

Then, the three green-marked Clearwater Jade can be picked one after the other by teleporting to the green-marked teleporter, all individually. 

Route 2: Yaodie Valley

This route has multiple jars that you have to go closer to and press “hit” when the dialogue appears. It can only be farmed once. The rest is fairly simple, just follow the route as it is lined, and you’ll be good.

Route 3: Mt. Xuanlian

The green route here can be followed directly from the previous route. For that one red-marked Clearwater Jade to the north, you can use zips to quickly get there. 

Route 4: Chizhang Wall

For Clearwater Jade near the boss, you can zip your way through quickly. Later, you can teleport to the statue and claim the remaining green ones. 

Outside these routes, there are a few more scattered in Mount Lingmeng, but they do not have any routes and must be individually collected by re-teleporting. They’re marked in the first image showing all the Clearwater Jade locations. 

Secret World Quest: Giant Jadestone Turtle location

There is also a secret World Quest on a small island north-east of Yilong Wharf. The precise location is marked below. 

Head to the marked location, and you’ll see a tomb on the small island. Interact with it, and then head to the short cliff towards the right.

It’ll ask you to feed certain materials; do as it says, and a small cutscene will play, which will have a giant Jadestone Turtle coming your way. 

Like other small turtles of its kind, it’ll have multiple Clearwater Jade in its shell. You can ride the turtle, and it’ll lead you to a certain place where there will be a chest as well. 

Where to buy Clearwater Jade in Genshin Impact?

Clearwater Jade is sold by Fengtai in Yilong Wharf in Genshin Impact. The shop’s location is shown below:

You can buy a total of five Clearwater Jade every three days from Fengtai.

Meanwhile, Clearwater Jade that is scattered around the Chenyu Vale will spawn every 48 hours. A single Jadestone turtle has a chance to drop multiple Clearwater Jade.

You’ll have to farm around three times if you want to fully level up Xianyun. You can speed that up by collecting together with your friend. As said earlier, both of you can collect Clearwater Jade in the same world.
