Wondering whether Skull and Bones has melee combat? Here’s everything you need to know about melee attacks in Ubisoft’s pirate adventure game.

Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones sees players take to the seas during the golden age of piracy, completing missions with or without friends to upgrade ships and dominate naval warfare.

While the majority of your time spent playing Skull and Bones will be aboard your ship, you will also spend a chunk of your playthrough on foot, exploring different hubs, speaking to NPCs, and buying and selling resources and items.

With that said, this may leave you wondering whether Skull and Bones features any melee combat, as PvP is a major part of the game. Well, here’s everything you need to know.

Does Skull and Bones have melee combat?

The answer is no, Skull and Bones does not feature any melee combat. The only combat gameplay you can expect while playing Ubisoft’s pirate action-adventure game is strictly naval.

Skull and Bones is ship-to-ship combat only.

PvP and PvE in Skull and Bones focus solely on ship-to-ship combat. You will not be taking any enemies on hand-to-hand, and the progression for combat only concerns ship cannons and other naval weaponry, as opposed to anything melee-related like swords or other weapons.

We doubt that any sort of melee combat will be added to Skull and Bones, as nothing was mentioned in the post-launch content, but if anything changes, we’ll be sure to update you so stay tuned. Until then, check out more on Skull and Bones:
