A soldier in Mass Effect Andromeda

If Mass Effect Andromeda has one claim to fame, it’s that the devs did not skimp on giving players the opportunity to become powerhouses of damage with weapon loadouts. Here are the best weapons you can use in Mass Effect Andromeda and how to get them.

Mass Effect Andromeda did not shy away from using the surge of creativity that has occurred in first-person shooters for the past few years. From melee weapons to SMGs and Snipers, players have a large collection of weapons to help them dominate.

From the large roster of weapons to choose from, though, it can be a bit daunting to pick the ones that are right for you. So, without further ado, here are the best weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda.

The best weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda are the ones that enhance the players’ ability to succeed in fights, while also opening doorways for interesting and fun strategies

There is a large arsenal of weapons to choose the best from.

Here are six of the best ones you should consider adding to your arsenal:

M-25 Hornet

DamageRate of fireClip SizeMax AmmoAccuracy
55-8795024192-24050-63

The M-25 Hornet is arguably the best pistol in Mass Effect Andromeda due to its rate of fire and accuracy. It’s a great weapon to have on you at all times, specifically due to its 25% damage bonus against enemy weak points.

You can find the M-25 Hornet by using a crafting station on the Tempest or any planet, and you need  Omni-Gel Canister, Copper, Fluorite, and Element Zero to craft it.

N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle

DamageRate of fireClip SizeMax AmmoAccuracy
106 – 16350020140 – 17565 – 81

The N7 Valkyrie is one of the most difficult weapons to find, and for good reason. It’s a great all-rounder weapon that boasts incredible accuracy and speed. Its damage is not the highest in the game, but it’s the best weapon to use for quickly mowing enemies down.

It can only be found through Supply by Cal at the Atrium on Port Meridian

Black Widow Sniper

DamageRate of fireClip SizeMax AmmoAccuracy
466 – 71565324 – 3068 – 85

The Black Widow Sniper is a semi-automatic weapon that packs a serious punch. It’s a smaller, higher-capacity version of the Widow Sniper, and it fires three shots per clip.

The thing that sets the Black Widow apart is its lightweight and sneakier approach to taking enemies down, and the three-shot setting makes it easier to hit those shots, truly making it one of the best weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda.

You can get the Black Widow from the Arms Dealer in the Kadara Market, Buy/Sell Kiosk in the research room at Tempest, or the Relia Ythos in the Kadara Market.

Dhan Shotgun

DamageRate of fireClip SizeMax AmmoAccuracy
614-94595321-2642-53

The Dhan Shotgun is a semi-automatic weapon that releases one powerful shot with massive damage. Its power doesn’t stop at damage, either, as it can knock enemies down and generate magnetic fields to sustain plasma spheres.

You can craft the Dhan Shotgun at a research station using 30 Kett Alloy, 28 Scale Fibers, 60 Nickel, and 10 Vanadium.

Asari Sword

DamageRate of fireClip SizeMax AmmoAccuracy
400 – 880N/AN/AN/AN/A

When picking the best melee weapon in Mass Effect Andromeda, you need to make sure it’s worth the risk, and the Asari Sword is it. Aside from its impressive damage numbers, the Asari Sword also gives players a biotic blink which gives you a moment of invulnerability when you dash forward.

You can craft the Asari Sword when you get to Eos using 40 Omni-Gel Canisters,150 Beryllium, 70 Fluorite, and 20 Vanadium

Remnant Cryo-Gauntlet

DamageRate of fireClip SizeMax AmmoAccuracy
200 – 440N/AN/AN/AN/A

While the Remnant Cryo-Gauntlet is not the best in terms of damage, its real power lies in its ability to flash-freeze your enemies. What makes it one of the best weapons in Mass Effect Andromeda is that, once your enemy is frozen, you have a near-endless list of combinations you can pull off to destroy them.

It also gives you time to think about your next move, heal, or turn the tide of battle. Not many weapons are able to give you this kind of crowd control, so this is something you definitely want in your arsenal for some of the best strategy plays.

The Remnant Cryo Gauntlet can only be crafted using 60 Omni-Gel Canisters, 250 Beryllium, 120 Fluorite, and 30 Vanadium.

It’s important to remember that while all of these weapons are formidable in the hands of the player, it’s ultimately up to you when it comes to what to use. There is no one fighting style that suits everyone, so make sure you are comfortable with your loadout first and foremost.
