Fortnite’s vehicle meta is forcing players to get creative with counters

The vehicle meta is currently dominating Fortnite and there are very few counters to it. In the absence of a proper weapon to deal damage to these cars, many players board the vehicles their opponents are driving.
Whenever there’s a passenger in the vehicle that you’re driving, you won’t be able to get them out of the car, which can be a disadvantage when they’re not your teammate. This issue has caused players to get creative with ways to force players out of a vehicle.
Mtaylor0812_ took to Reddit to share a clip of a player thinking outside of the box to banish a stowaway from their car.
For this strategy to work out, many factors need to be aligned in Fortnite, and that’s exactly what happened in the video shared above.
To secure the elimination, the player first drove into the Rift below Loot Island. When the car finally dropped on top of the Loot Island, the player drove to the edge and then tossed a Boogie Bomb on the vehicle, forcing the passenger out of the car and ultimately to their elimination from the game.
In response to this elimination, others commented on the thread, sharing tricks of their own. One player said, “Today I killed two hitchhikers by driving straight into the storm. I had 3 health kits so I just [stayed] there. Eventually, they got out, [and] I sped off and healed up. They died.”
Another player mentioned, “Just position the car so that the passenger seat is in the storm. Eventually, he will get out, then speed off. I always do that.”
Ever since Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 was released, players have been coming up with unique ways to deal with the cars on the island while they wait for a brand new Sniper that, according to dataminers, is capable of dealing 3x damage to cars.
Dataminers have also suggested that a Pirates of the Caribbean and a Fall Guys crossover is scheduled to go live in the game soon.
