Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is in full swing, but the latest update suggests something big is coming soon to the battle royale. Are we going back to Fortnite Chapter 1? Here’s everything you need to know about the possible return of the classic map.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 was well received by players thanks to its many skins, special collaborations, and exciting events. However, while players celebrate a new edition of Fortnitemares, many are already thinking about what’s coming after Season 4 of Epic Games’ battle royale.

With the arrival of the version 26.30 update, new leaks suggest Fortnite will travel back in time, bringing back the classic Chapter 1 map, among other things. Here’s everything we know so far.

Fortnite leak reveals original Chapter 1 maps could return

Players encountered Kado Thorne’s time machine in Fortnite’s map after the 26.30 update alongside hints from the game’s original map. While this sparked many theories about the possible return of the classic map, leakers seem to have a clearer picture.

Reliable leaker HYPEX anticipates players will return to Fortnite’s Chapter 1 map after the time machine breaks at the end of Chapter 4 Season 4. This will lead to the launch of Chapter 4 Season 5, a short but packed season that will last just a month before Chapter 5 officially arrives.

According to HYPEX and other leakers, the Chapter 4 Season 5 map will change every week with elements from all of the Chapter 1 seasons, including locations, weapons, items, and more.

While none of this has been officially confirmed by Epic Games yet, players know Kado Thorne is a time traveler trying to complete the biggest collection of weapons there is. To do that, he’s going to travel to previous Fortnite seasons to get the best items he can.

Currently, the date on his time machine is July 12, 2018, the day Chapter 1 Season 5 started.

Some fans even went as far as connecting these events with the movie Avengers: Endgame (2019). There, Thor is seen playing Fortnite Chapter 1 in a scene that takes place in October 2023. This would mean Epic Games planned this whole event years in advance, but some players believe it’s just a funny coincidence.

In any case, it seems the end of Chapter 4 Season 4 will bring a big event for players to enjoy. Fans still have time to celebrate Halloween with the Fortnitemares 2023 event that runs until November 3. After that, Epic Games have many surprises in store, so we’ll make sure to keep you up to date with everything coming.

In the meantime, make sure to check out October’s Fortnite Crew Pack or all the Snapshot Quests to unlock additional styles this season.
