Leaks have hinted that Fortnite will return to the classic map from Chapter 1 during Chapter 4 Season 5, and a new in-game teaser appears to have all but confirmed that the rumors are true.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is drawing to a close and attention is already beginning to turn towards Season 5. This is expected to be the final major update before Chapter 5 gets underway, bringing the new Battle Pass and skins that fans have come to expect.

But in the build-up to the update, leaks began to emerge that suggested Epic will be trying something different with Season 5. It was widely reported that the game could travel back in time to the Chapter 1 map, complete with fan-favorite POIs.

Now, a new teaser has appeared in-game that seemingly confirms that the classic Fortnite map is making a return.

On October 25, players began noticing a small but telling update to the Mega City location on the southwest of the island. The screens found on the POI’s many skyscrapers, which normally display adverts, now show the sky from the first Fortnite chapter.

After inspecting the teaser further, players also noticed that the original Fortnite lobby music can be heard when they approach the screens. Many fans took this as the clearest sign yet that Season 5 will send the game back in time to the beloved Chapter 1 island.

“It’s happening,” said one excited X user, before another replied: “We’re going home boys…we’re going home.”

This latest hint comes after creators were sent out a pack containing items for the early days of Fortnite and props from Chapter 1 began to mysteriously appear around the map. While nothing has been officially confirmed by Epic Games, all signs seem to be pointing toward a major throwback in Chapter 4 Season 5.
