Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is in full swing, and players are just getting a feel of everything it has introduced to the game. While fans explored new POIs and had incredible showdowns thanks to the Mythic powers, they weren’t expecting the return of a much-acclaimed boss.
Epic Games shocked fans when announcing Midas’ comeback, especially since it’s known that this character has been seen organizing enemy forces in various Fortnite teasers since Chapter 1.
Fans are eager to face him again and can’t forget the fact that his first appearance as a boss in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 also let them win the Mythic Drum Gun.
“After the season ended, he wasn’t seen for a bit until he came back as Shadow Midas in the Midas’ revenge event, which I think was for one of the Fortnitemares events. Currently, there’s a high number of NPCs on the map that talk about trying to find Midas, which were also from CH2S2 and were also bosses, and 2 are canonically his family members,” explained a user in the Reddit post announcing the boss’ return.
Fortnite fans agreed that Midas’s legacy after Chapter 2 Season 2 is “undisputed,” and they even think that the heist from Chapter 4 Season 4 was so popular thanks to his presence.
“I also just find it funny that this guy is so popular that he returns twice and has brought content to the game each time, the first time was the Midas’ Revenge Fortnitemares Event in 2020 and now with this return, we’re getting The Floor is Lava back with challenges and a new moddable Drum Gun (and apparently Midas will be a boss with a mythic one),” read a comment.
According to reliable leaker ShiinraBr, Midas will return on March 19, 2024, when players will also be able to enjoy the new Hades Mythic, Floor is Lava game mode, and Midas cosmetic bundle.
