Fortnite players were elated to see a popular skin included in the new Battle Pass. Although several variants were planned, none of them made it to the game ever since, and the fan-favorite skin is finally returning to the game in Chapter 5 Season 2.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is underway and players have to deal with Greek Gods who appeared on the island after Pandora’s Box opened up.

Of all the characters in this season, the most important ones who have joined the island are Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. While the first two have unique skins, Poseidon is a Rippley reskin.

Considering how popular this skin was back in the day, players are excited and have praised the developers for adding him to the game once again.

Redditor ‘VincentWeir’ took to Reddit to share that the Fortnite Rippley skin finally got a reskin after “4 years, 4 months and 22 days.”

One player commented on the post and said: “I missed my chance back in Chapter 2 Season 1 because I wasn’t allowed to buy V-Bucks. But now I can get Rippley!” Another fan added: “I’m a Rippley main and I am happy that Epic is acknowledging him again.”

Players were glad that Epic chose Rippley as the Poseidon skin in Fortnite instead of going for a more lore-accurate version because then, it would become a different variant of the Zeus skin.

A Redditor commented: “As a person who mains Rippley, I see this as an absolute thank you honestly,” while another fan said: “I am excited, he was the only old BP skin I ever wanted.”

Overall, players are excited to see Rippley return to Fortnite and many players have expressed their wish to get this skin because they couldn’t purchase the previous Battle Pass.
